Vertilathe Drill Press Attachement - $51.00
The exciting and inexpensive Vertilathe tool attaches to the table of your drill press. The aluminum base plate with a ball bearing live center performs the function of a tail stock center on a standard lathe. This slotted base, fastens to the drill press table with carriage bolts (supplied) and is aligned with the drill axis. There are two drive centers: A screw center for small diameter work and a spur center for work pieces 3/4 inch in diameter and larger. The adjustable 3 inch and 6 inch Stainless Steel Tool Rests mount on either side of the base plate and are adjustable to turn pieces up to 4 inches in diameter and 3 to 6 inches long (12 inches long, if you flip the work piece over). A Forstner bit can also be used in the chuck as a drive center.
This tool has been tested by experts in the woodworking field and has been featured by the editors at Woodshop News, Woodworkers Journal, Popular Woodworking, American Woodworker, Fine Woodworking and Wood Magazine, and in Creative Woodworks and Crafts (Feb 1998) and More Woodturning (April 1998).

Fine Woodworking, 12/1996 "The hardware is neatly made and easy to set up." Dennis Preston
Wood Magazine, 12/1996 "I was impressed by how solidly the Vertilathe is built....the Vertilathe is a clever tool that will yield small turnings at a fraction of the price you'd pay for a lathe." Dave Henderson
